True roller rockers would be more affective too !!! 1.6 would increase your lift and help it be more effective !!!

Screw in studs and guideplates should be used and hardened pushrods !!! You just need to get the bosses machined and tapped !!! Would work much BETTER !!!! Those heads and little valves and minimal cfm airflow will NOT allow the airflow for that can to be affective along with that little intake !!!

Please tell me that wasn't a gear drive !!! They are NOT only noisy but create a lot of friction and have a reputation of robbing horsepower !!! Looked like your typical Pete Jackson set up !!!! Just get a cloyes true double roller timing chain !!!! A much better set up !!!!

In my experience and opinion thumper cams are junk !!! The problem is the ramps are to aggressive for the rotating assemble and the basically stock low flowing heads !!! Too much duration and centerlobe !!! The previous cam was a better fit !!!!! Thumper cams sound good at idle but have a lousy reputation for all around performance !!!! I'm 61 and I had in my day over 1000 passes in the 10 second zone with great success at bracket racing !!!!! I wish you success and LUCK but their reputation (thumper cams) are notoriously difficult to get a COMPLETE successful tune especially when it comes to carburation fine tuning !!! They seem to have a rep for always being on the rich side and known for fowling out plugs in a short time span and many being disappointed with its engine power production !!!! That is in my opinion too much centerlobe and duration for a factory stock bottom END !!!! Unfortunately those cams work badly with factory stock converters with those particular numbers too !!!! The lower duration and 112° center are a much better and compatible fit then the thumper !!! Theres was the more common sense choice !!!!! Those cams also work poorly with a dual plain intake !!!!! I wouldn't go more then WITH a torker 2 or a 650 double pumper !!!!! An MSD and blaster coil and a good set of 8mm wires are always a good choice I just think your over camming it and should leave it be !!!!!

The prices on the holley efi is the reason I haven't gone turbo and keep re using the msd 6014 box same carb and alot of nitrous I like the 6014 box tho

If your not going for too much boost it would have been cool to see Internal wastegate turbo's and not have to modify the manifold. Still a cool cheap setup tho...

If you are getting a wine in the transmission it could be pump if in park if worse in low I think it would be planetary gears. I could have it backwards if it's worse in high.

Whining noise in the transmission could also indicate the torque converter especially after a certain RPM

Someone will b!tch about anything. I’ve owned dozens of cars and a majority had the springs cut and all drove fine. Better than heat IMO. But I’m just an old man (that survived lol)

Yes factory LS heads do flow better but build the sbc with after market heads problem solved and it may not be huge but its cheaper.🤨
